Red pandas aren’t actually red. They are reddish-brown. Although their name suggests it, Red pandas are not closely related to the giant panda. They look more like raccoons, with their ringed tails. Red pandas have their own unique family—the Ailuridae. Red pandas are 20-23″ long, with tails that range in length from 11-23″. They spend most of their time up in trees and 13 hours of each day eating!
This nonfiction/informational book, for upper emergent readers, includes a glossary of new terms at the end of the book.
